The mounting bracket should be at the level of the headrails of your present blinds. Make sure that you hold them against the door at the same length and level.
Mark the measurements of your brackets, this includes the width and length. You can use a pencil to do the marking. Make sure to check the manufacturer’s instructions on how to install the blinds for they may be requesting for additional adjustments to the measurements.
Slowly remove the brackets off the headrail. You can use a flathead screwdriver to do this task in order to ensure that the rail will not break. Some manufacturers also have instructions on how to go about this with ease concerning their own products.
Measure the brackets alongside the door and look at the marks you had made. Also plot out the screw holes.
Drill the plots that you made and put on the mounting brackets.
Assemble the blinds according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Not all are the same and some manoeuvres may be applicable to the panels to be able to work.
Secure the valance to the headrails. Snap them into the clips. This way you are sure that they will not go anywhere regardless of the movement of the door.
Test the equipment that you assembled and look for any defects.
